Pinky Doodle Poodle
pop punk/rock - Tokyo, Japan

Pinky Doodle Poodle (PDP for the informed fans) is the perfect musical illustration of our curly-haired canine friends: small, cute, of pleasant company and incredibly customizables; but also inclined to growl and bare their fangs which are as hard as a stainless steel necklace. The group, formed in Tokyo during the spring of 2008, is led with an iron leash by anime dubber and pop singer YURIA, particularly known for her work in series like Gravion and Shuffle!, developing here a sound that's clear punk, catchy and direct. Changing from the style that's notorious for her, she has, with the help of her companions in wrist bands, transformed oral honey to a raging carrier of bacteria. Completely self-managed, the group is far from the constraints and budgets tied to anime, and has made progress climbing up the levels of recognition in stride with villainous riffs. Pinky Doodle Poodle released its first maxi-single in August of 2008, also performing various concerts in the Tokyo area. It quickly won a number of awards, including one for the J-Wave Music Hypermarket Music Contest, organized by the most popular FM station in the Japanese capital. The following autumn, YURIA and her band embarked on a European tour, during which they performed at the Metal Female Voices Festival in Wieze, Belgium. They took the occasion to record their first EP, 1, 2, 3, GO!, released under the label Râmen Events. Strengthened by these experiences, Pinky Doodle Poodle got ready for its 2011 debut, where it again sets loose on our territories its pack of savage pink poodles. Hiding from them would be futile; they are aggressive and they'll find you.
